Roberts Declares Run for 2nd Congressional District Seat
March 11, 2022

Oklahoma Representative Dustin Roberts is taking a shot at becoming a Congressman. He announced Thursday he’s running for Oklahoma’s Second Congressional District seat which is being vacated by Congressman Markwayne Mullin.

Roberts was elected to House District 21 in 2011 and is term-limited for the Legislature this year.

“I am looking forward to working as hard for the people of the 2nd Congressional District as I have so passionately worked for the constituents of House District 21,” said Roberts.

Roberts served in the U.S. Navy and is a resident of Durant.

“I come from a humble background. Being fortunate enough to be born in the United States of America, I have worked hard and been able to realize the American dream. I am seeking this office because I want future generations to have that same chance. As a business owner, I know the tough choices that must be made to balance a budget. As a veteran, I know what it means to fight for our flag, and I know that we need more people in Washington D.C. fighting to protect the freedoms we hold dear. My heart is in this for Oklahoma. I can bring a passion for our Oklahoma values and real-world solutions to the halls of Congress that no one else can.”

The primary will be held on June 28th.
